Vanilla extract 3 fold 42%, Organic

Botanical name: Vanilla Planifolia

Country of origin: Madagascar

From CHF 7.00

Our organically crafted, 3-fold vanilla extract is made by extracting the essential oils and other naturally occurring plant material from the wild crafted bourbon vanilla bean pod via an organic solvent in a controlled, pressurized environment.

We love using vanilla extract in body butter, salt scrubs, lip balms, massage oil blends, and numerous other DIY aromatherapy products, as it provides such a comforting, rich vanilla aroma.

Benefits and uses

  • The long, green, freshly-picked vanilla bean pods from the Vanilla planifolia vine are carefully fermented over a period of time prior to extraction.
  • We love putting a small dime-sized dollop into 16 ounces of jojoba and letting the vanilla extract infuse into the jojoba oil for about a week or longer.
  • Vanilla infused carrier oils are lovely to blend with, as the carrier takes on a gentle, exquisite vanilla aroma after the infusion process is complete.
  • You can easily reuse this dollop of vanilla in another infusion or in a new aromatherapy blend.
  • Emotionally and energetically, vanilla extract encourages and calms. It can help alleviate feelings of anxiousness and help balance the body, mind, and spirit, especially during more challenging times.
  • It is incredibly uplifting, especially when one is experiencing situational anxiety or depression. This extract is often used to heighten the senses and is popular in blends for spicing things up in the bedroom.
  • The aroma of this oil is unimaginably beautiful: delicate and light, it is simultaneously sweet, warming and almost elusive, it is characterized by alluring notes of fresh vanilla and light balsam shades, which, however, do not separate from the main tone.
  • The smell of vanilla is one of the rare aromas in aromatherapy, which are perceived as completely whole, without any obvious division into upper, middle and lower notes.

Combination with other oils

  • It is not easy to find complementary aromas for vanilla absolute: it is very easily lost against the background of others, hides with strong notes and disguises itself.
  • Ideal partners for an incredibly attractive and delicate vanilla will be all spicy (for example, Cinnamon Cassia, Clove stem, Ginger) and balsamic esters, as well as sandalwood, benzoin and vetiver.

Impact on the psycho-emotional sphere

  • Vanilla is an energetic who not only carries a charge of vivacity and strength, but awakens internal psychological changes, as if activating vital and psychological energy.
  • It is believed that vanilla aroma is perceived as safe, carries a sense of security and comfort, and acts on an unconscious level, removing all anxieties and fears.
  • When used for aromatization of air, it helps to tame anger and unproductive emotions, brings deep calm and thanks to the activation of positive thinking and the achievement of internal harmony, eliminates self-destructive motivations, relieves anxiety and insomnia.
  • This is an excellent background oil for confidential communication in a narrow circle: vanilla helps not only to hear, but also to understand the interlocutor, to achieve spiritual unity and closeness of thoughts.
  • In the field of cosmetology, vanilla oil is considered as a perfume additive.
  • Vanilla is one of the softest oils with a gentle effect on the epidermis, with constant use it actively improves the skin's characteristics, increasing its softness, velvety and elasticity. With daily use, the effect of its use is visible even after a short time.
  • It is also characterized by a calming effect, and the ability to gradually whiten the skin, even out its color. This is one of the best oils to relieve irritation and rash, with a visible calming effect.
  • This is one of the essential oils with balsamic effect.

Household use

  • It is a wonderful flavor.
  • Vanilla aroma is considered one of the basic components of perfumes with an oriental train, soft delicate notes for home perfumes and cosmetics.
  • Vanilla oil is also perfect as a flavor for drinks and tobacco blends. This oil is one of the softest and tender. However, it must be used with the greatest care, strictly observing the minimum dosages.
  • In direct contact with the skin, vanilla, which has a warming aroma, causes a contrastingly cooling sensation that should pass within about two minutes.

Recommended dosages:

  • To enrich cosmetics and detergents add 4 drops of oil for every 5 grams of the base composition;
  • For individual aromatic pendants use 6 drops of vanilla;
  • For aroma lamps, it is enough to use only 1 drop;
  • In aromatic baths, do not use more than 2 drops of this ether per procedure;
