The main active component of the leaves of mint is menthol. Menthol perfectly cools and refreshes the skin, stimulates blood circulation and strengthens blood vessels, removes toxins and soothes irritated skin, normalizes the sebaceous glands and dries the skin.

In addition to menthol, mint contains organic acids and tannins, ascorbic acid and carotene, flavonoids and trace elements, as well as a complex of other biologically active substances.

Peppermint essential oil is one of the most effective soothing and relaxing remedies, and also has a tonic and refreshing effect.

The peppermint aroma is very pronounced: fresh and invigorating, but at the same time sharp and delicate, surprisingly rich in nuances, combining cold notes of mint smell with warm shades of camphor.

The aroma of essential oil of Peppermint combines well the essential oils of Petitgrain, Ylang-Ylang, Basil, Lavender, May Chang, Sweet orange, Niaouli.

Use in cosmetology

Peppermint essential oil is an indispensable component of refreshing and toning lotions, it is excellent for the care of oily and problem skin.

Peppermint oil has a calming effect on the skin, eliminates flabbiness, smoothes wrinkles, refreshes the complexion, and slightly evens the tone.

Menthol perfectly refreshes the scalp and prevents dandruff.

This oil is also used in the means to relieve leg fatigue.

In aromatherapy, mint oil is used to get rid of insomnia, overwork and nervous disorders, relieve irritability.

Dosage

• To use an electric aroma diffuser, add 5 drops of Peppermint essential oil, for aroma medallions 1-3 drops.

• To take a relaxing and soothing aroma bath, dilute 7 drops of oil in one emulsifier.

• For rubbing and massage, Peppermint oil is used in the amount of 6 drops mixed with base oil.

• To cosmetics add 2 drops for every 5 grams of cream or lotion.

 

Important: essential oils are highly concentrated vegetable essences, so they require dilution with carrier vegetable oils.
